Hi there! Welcome to the blog! This space is all things sweet couples and beautiful days. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm ELLEN.

Mobile Country Club – Engagement Session- – Hill and Julianna

Oct 21, 2021

Hill and Julianna’s engagement session at the Mobile Country Club was absolutely gorgeous!

We shot this session at Julianna’s parents’ beautiful house on the golf course at the Mobile Country Club, making for a totally unique view and perspective of this area of Mobile. Some of my favorite photos I’ve taken have been on golf courses and at country clubs, which you can check out here!

Hill and Julianna are so sweet together and very easygoing, making this session so natural and beautiful. I loved getting to know them and learning about how they got together. Coincidentally, they are both from the Gulf Coast. Julianna is from Mobile, and Hill is from across the Mobile Bay. They both also went to the University of Alabama but did not get together until they moved back home after they graduated.

I had so much fun learning about them and seeing them be so in love with one another. They are a totally unique couple, a breath of fresh air, and their engagement session was such a good time.

The Interview

  • When you did you know you wanted to spend forever together? Hill says after a tree fell through my room while I was sleeping during Hurricane Sally that he realized he never wanted to come that close to losing me ever again. I knew on the way home from our second date Hill would be around for a long time.

  • What’s your favorite thing to do together? I love fun dinner dates, one of my favorites being our traditional Sunday night Mexican dinners. Hill says he enjoys quality time with me the most. Usually while we watch movies or go on trips together.

  • How did you propose? Proposal stories are my FAVORITE! I am going to let Hill write this— It was April 18th (Julianna’s birthday) and Julianna’s mom had told her that we were going to dinner at the country club for her and her sister‘s birthday. After she was done getting ready to go to dinner we went into her living room and I gave her her birthday gifts. I told her to open the card that I had written for her last. The card said 26 things that I loved about her and on the back I taped a sticky note that said “I love you! Now stand up”. She was confused but humored me and stood up and as soon as she did I proposed. We left her house and headed to her parents for a get together with family and close friends. It was a perfect night and I have never been happier. Julianna looked gorgeous and everyone was so happy for us. Definitely a great start to beginning our lives together!
