This newborn photographer was so excited to join the Thompson family as they welcomed a new baby boy into their Mobile, AL home!

Parents Rick and Johanna just welcomed their second child to their home, sweet baby Rush! Their older daughter is Charley Rose, who is full of personality and excitement for new hew brother!

So I have been working with the Thompsons for a couple of years now. I first met them at Charley Rose’s first birthday session. Since then we have done it all! From birthdays to spring portraits to the tree farm close to Christmas. So we just keep finding each other, and that’s one of my favorite parts about this job. The Thompsons are so special to me!

Now I’m looking forward to many more sessions with the newest Thompson, who I was so excited to meet. Rush is the sweetest little boy, and he has got this family totally enraptured with him.

Like, just look at that nursery! The Thompsons are the classic, Southern family you see in magazines, and I was so excited to be invited in to their home. They live in a home in Mobile that’s almost a hundred years old. They completely gutted it and have done an HGTV-worthy renovation on it, which you can somewhat see below in their photos.

Additionally, Johanna did a fantastic job on Rush’s nursery. It is classic in the best way, full of blues and bows and beautiful distressed furniture. Also, I absolutely LOVE that iron crib. Though I couldn’t find that exact one, you can see some similar cribs at Wayfair here! You can tell that Johanna put in lots of effort, and it definitely paid off.

I am so excited for the Thompsons, and I cannot wait to capture many more memories for them! Congratulations!
