This newborn session with the Barber family in Mobile, Alabama was the most precious day.

Parents Chase and Sarah are family friends, and their boys have been in our gaggle of children for the past few years. They round out a group of lots of blonde children!

The Barbers are the classically Southern, well-dressed family, and it’s been a big change for their family to have another girl in their midst! Big brothers Charlie and Carson are definitely wrapped around their little sister’s fingers.

I was so excited to meet baby Barber, lovingly named Sophie Claire, which I adore! She was exactly what this family needed, and she completes this party of five so well. Also, a little piece of trivia for you is that her brothers affectionately call her Soapy Clara.

So sweet Sophie was a delightful surprise to all her family and friends, and her story only gets better! First, she was originally thought to be a boy until an ultrasound proved otherwise. Being a surprise pregnancy in general paired with it being a girl made this extra exciting. We were ready to get her here and welcome into our big bundle.

And she’s recently just taken her first steps! Time truly does fly.
