The Parker family’s session at Dauphin Island is why I love being a photographer!

Parents Seth and Mandy and I go way back to the days of Mobile Christian before marriage and kids. But it has been so wonderful to see how life has shifted us all and brought us back around in this way. And what normally starts as a session turns into laughs and catching up. I think that especially shone through in these photos.

Dauphin Island had pristine weather this day, and from all the rain we’ve been having lately, it’s been really making me miss bright, sunny days! I love photographing on Dauphin Island, especially if I can stop and grab a taco at Miguel’s Beach’n Baja on my way out!

I loved the outfits Mandy chose for the boys, big brother Justin and one-year-old Wesley. You can tell how much those brothers love each other! It does my heart good to see those I knew and loved once upon a time come into their own as parents the same time as me. Seth and Mandy are the sweetest couple, and the love they have for each other shines so brightly through their boys!

I shot the Parkers’ maternity photos when Mandy was pregnant with Wesley, and then Wesley’s newborn photos. We rounded out this year of Wesley’s milestones following his three-, six-, and nine-month photos! It has been so great to see him growing up before all of our eyes.
