Logan and Briley’s engagement session at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear was the overcast, windblown session of my dreams.

When we met to take the photos for this session, it had to be pretty early morning. Briley was home for the weekend, and a hurricane was brewing in the Gulf. So we had to get the timing just right! But I definitely think it was just right. That gray sky and Briley’s cozy sweater––and, of course, all the cozy feelings these lovebirds gave me––made for the perfect session.

Briley and Logan met through mutual friends and connected as friends on Facebook, where they really hit it off. It wasn’t long before all the pieces fell into place.

Briley said she knew they would be together forever when they began discussing what they wanted their future to look like. They admitted that each wanted the other to be part of that future.

And as much of that future becomes present, they found that their favorite things to do with one another are trying out new restaurants, playing with their dog Ruby, and going on trips together. They got in many a road trip while Logan worked in Birmingham and Briley lived in Texas at the beginning of their relationship.

What came of that long distance is so much chemistry and love, and that showed through at their proposal. Logan took Briley out to eat in Fairhope, and after they went back to Briley’s neighborhood. Logan proposed at the boat house there with all their family watching from afar. They celebrated with their family after at Briley’s family’s home.

Soon we made it to their engagement session at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, excited to see how far they had come and even more eager to see their big day.
