I love being an engagement photographer and Sean and Ashley’s session at the Grand Hotel in Fairhope, Alabama was beautiful! I can’t imagine a sweeter couple or more perfect weather, and the stars aligned on this evening.

Ashley chose the most perfect outfits for her and Sean! The classic black dress is always a good choice and she looked so stunning. The warm glow on the dark colors, I absolutely loved this first outfit. Ashley changed into the most beautiful pink satin dress and she couldn’t help but steal the show from there.

There is a small lake on the property at The Grand Hotel and until last Fall there was a beautiful Japanese cherry blossom tree nestled right against it. Cherry blossom trees bloom at a very specific time and don’t stay full for long, so I felt lucky to have caught it! Ashley’s dress matched the tree and these turned out to be some of my most favorite engagement pictures ever. This past fall that cherry blossom tree was damaged during one of our hurricanes and I am so sad to see it go. Even still, the sun piercing through the moss hanging on the trees will always be one of my favorite things to photograph.

We finished their session out on the beach and the sunset was so good to us! The colors were magical, I would photograph a sunset like that every single day if I could. This session almost felt like a styled shoot, everything about it was perfect.
