Brady and Sarah’s engagement session at the Grand Hotel in Fairhope Alabama was so much fun!
Something I love that Sarah did was bring along her bestie, Maci, who acted as personal hype woman and the hair and makeup team at their Grand Hotel engagement session. She helped keep the evening light and kept Sarah looking 10/10 throughout all the pictures!
Check out the couple’s interview below! Such a good peek into their relationship. They are truly a match made in heaven, and they are so lucky to have found one another!

The Interview
- I need to know, how did you meet?
Brady and I met our freshman year of college at the University of West Alabama. We were both going into nursing and were taking several classes together. We had a mutual friend that told us that we needed to meet because our lives were strangely alike.
However, I decided after my second semester of nursing school that it wasn’t for me. During the second semester of my senior year of college, my mom sent me a message asking if I knew Brady Turner. I told her yes, and she asked what I thought about him. At the time, she worked as the headmaster of my high school, and I thought she wanted to hire him to teach anatomy or health class. Little did I know she was trying to set us up. Brady’s old high school football coach worked there and told my mom all about Brady and said we needed to date.
A few hours later, Brady texted me asking me out on a date. Bless his heart, I was on the way home from Livingston and couldn’t text him while I was driving. So an hour-and-a-half later I finally answered him back, saying, of course! - What were the first things you remember noticing about each other?
Sarah: I would say I noticed how kind hearted he was and that he truly cared about every word I said.
Brady: I noticed her smile and how happy she was all the time. - What did you do on your first date?
We went to Briquettes and to see a movie. Our second date was the next day, and I went to meet his parents, and we were going to go to one of his friend’s houses to eat crawfish and hang out with them. When we got there, one of his friend’s mom came up to me asking if we were related. Brady’s mom warned me that she was going to, and I thought, I have never met anybody with my last name, so I doubt we are. Well, the mom and I ended up being second cousins. Strange, I know. That was even more of a sign that we were meant to be. - When you did you know you wanted to spend forever together?
I knew after the first date that I was going to marry him. Everything just seemed right. - What’s your favorite thing to do together?
We love food and finding new places to eat. We also love weekend trips out of town and spending time with friends and family. - How did you propose? Proposal stories are my FAVORITE!
On October 10, I woke up to flowers, coffee, and a note explaining that he had a special day planned for us. He surprised me with this pretty top I have been eyeing and some beautiful earrings. I had a feeling after that, that this would be the day. We left about 8 in the morning. I was clueless!
We drove about an hour to the Battle House, and he surprised me with an appointment to get my nails and toes done. After my appointment, we left and grabbed lunch at Roosters and it was delicious. We then left and started driving. I had no idea where we were headed.
We pulled off on the exit headed to Bellingrath Gardens, and I just knew that’s where it would happen. But he continued to drive past it. He asked me if I knew where we were going because he knows I have a mental GPS.
We drove about 15 more minutes, and we ended up taking a back way to Bellingrath. When we pulled in, the nerves set in. We entered and started walking around, and we got to a little spot. We stopped there, and as soon as he grabbed my other hand, I started crying. He knelt on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES!!!
We hugged and laughed and cried some more and called our families and friends. We continued to walk through Bellingrath, and that was my first time being there, and it was absolutely perfect. He then tells me all the planning details. I work for a power company, and they told us to be prepared to come into work because we didn’t know what Hurricane Delta would do. Thankfully, they didn’t call me, and the day went on as planned.
After Bellingrath, I called my grandmother and aunt who live in Mobile, and we dropped by to see them. Then we dressed for dinner! We met our parents at Ruth’s Chris. After dinner, he told me to call a friend of mine to see if we could go ahead and stop by her house to see them. We headed that way and when we turned in I saw my closest friends’ vehicles. He told me he had one more surprise.
I opened the door, and there they were, and even more tears began to flood. They had a mini engagement party for us. It was such a special day filled with so much laughter, happiness, tears and love. I’m so lucky I get to marry this guy! - You’re getting married! Describe your perfect wedding day in a few words.
We want a very classy traditional wedding. We love to dress up and love things a little extra. I want our day to represent us. Our wedding colors are white, champagne, and a light dusty blue. We will get married at my church, and the reception will be at the community center with a band and delicious food.
I’m so excited for Brady and Sarah. Their Grand Hotel engagement session in Fairhope was so beautiful and so fun. It has me ecstatic for their wedding day!
