This newborn session in Mobile, Alabama with the Roberts family was like a dream! They are some of the sweetest people in the world!

First-time parents Bo and Tara welcomed me into their home to meet their new little love, Miss Lucy Clare. I love that name, and she was an absolute doll to photograph. They have a beautiful, classic home in midtown that I could have easily spent hours inside of.

There were so many aspects of this day that I loved, from the pattern on the fabric of Lucy Clare’s crib to the surprise appearance of the beloved family dog. But most of all, Bo and Tara were totally calm, cool, and collected. They were so laid back, even as first-time parents. Part of me wishes I could go back in time to when I was a first-time parent and take a few pages out of their book. It’s so obvious that Lucy Clare is a very loved little girl.

Their home is so bright, and it really captured how picturesque the whole family is. In Lucy Clare’s nursery are many special, absolutely beautiful pieces. I especially loved her swaddle bow, which you can see in pictures below. You can find a similar one here.

All in all, this family is not short on style and love, and it was a sincere honor to photograph them all. I can’t wait to see little Lucy Clare grow up!
