I love maternity photography in mid-winter, and this maternity session with the Dixon family at Springhill College was the perfect blend of a moody sky and colorful leaves.

Melvin, Kayci, and big brother-to-be Elijah patiently wait for their Lilly Grace to make her debut, so they joined me for a chilly day out at Springhill College. Chilly for Mobile, at least! To us it felt like we would freeze!

I loved what this little family chose to wear. I love that Elijah looks like the responsible older brother I know he’s going to be and that he’s dressed so similarly to Melvin. And speaking of fashion, check out that dress Kayci is wearing! It’s from Baltic Born, which is an amazing online store that you definitely need to check out like, NOW. All of their stuff is so flattering and beautiful. I cannot get enough of it.

This maternity photography session was so exciting for me to participate in because it was my first session back from after I gave birth to Finley, my sweet baby girl. I loved getting to capture the excitement of the Dixons as they waited on their baby girl. I know I was excited to meet mine! And I was so pumped to get back to my clients, whom I adore, and the Dixons were the perfect family to help me get back into the swing of things!

So congrats to the Dixons! I am so excited for you to be girl parents and for Elijah to flex his big brother skills. I cannot wait to meet your sweet little miss!
