Drew and Katelyn had a beautiful wedding at the Admiral Hotel in the heart of downtown Mobile, Alabama. What a day this was!! I mentioned when I shared Katelyn’s bridal portraits, which you can see here, that she is a former trail maid and LOVES anything and everything downtown Mobile. The Admiral Hotel is the perfect place for a southern couple to get married! It is recently renovated and GORGEOUS! If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend you grab yourself a room during Mardi Gras and check it out.

Their bridal party got ready here, their ceremony was in the ballroom, and the staff flipped the room during cocktail hour into the reception! We were able to use their beautiful property all day long. Their wedding party was such a fun and sweet group; our timeline was a little tight against the sunset and they killed it. I couldn’t have asked for a more flexible and FUN group to be with Drew and Katelyn that day!

The Details

This was my first time shooting a wedding at The Admiral Hotel in downtown Mobile, Alabama and I loved it! Drew and Katelyn’s ceremony was candlelit and romantic, and the vows they wrote to each other were some of the sweetest I’ve ever heard. They promised forever to each other in such a genuine way. Call me a total sap but I was wiping tears behind the camera. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of it all (I get it, I’m a wedding photographer) but THAT is what it’s all about. The vows, the promises made, the special moments as they start their life together.

Then the reception came! When I say this group came to celebrate and dance the night away, that’s honestly an understatement. We partied until the last possible second! Their family and friends sent them off with sparklers and grabbed moonpies as their favors! The most perfect end to this perfect downtown Mobile wedding day.
