Hi there! Welcome to the blog! This space is all things sweet couples and beautiful days. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm ELLEN.

Beach Wedding in Fort Morgan, Alabama

Feb 18, 2020

Daniel and Cindy had their wedding on New Year’s Eve at a private residence in Fort Morgan, Alabama and it was a BLAST! It couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day for a beach wedding!

We shot their engagement session at Daniel’s grandparents property a few months ago and I had the best time getting to know them. They are such a fun-loving couple and I had been looking forward to their wedding day for a LONG time!

The details Cindy chose for their day were beautiful, the bridesmaids’ dresses and the white and blush florals were absolutely perfect for a beach wedding. There’s just something about the beach, it doesn’t matter what time of year it is, certain color palettes will always be beautiful there. Cindy also put together the most amazing gift box for Daniel and one item in his box absolutely blew his mind, a Rolex! I got the feeling he had been wanting one for a while. My second shooter Ashley got to capture those moments as he opened it and I just wish I’d been there too, he was completely speechless all day about his new watch!

Daniel and Cindy opted not to see each other until the ceremony so we got to have all the fun with the bridal party separately beforehand. Their wedding party was filled with family and friends who absolutely adore them, both individually and as a couple. It really says SO much to me when everyone on a wedding day so clearly loves the couple the way they loved Daniel and Cindy!

We spent that last good hour of light creating some magic with the bridal party and then just Daniel and Cindy. Husband and wife portraits are just some of my favorite moments ever on a wedding day. That just married feeling is hard to beat!

The reception took place at the residence just up the beach and it was awesome! Naman’s catered a taco bar (yes, please!) and the live band kept the night moving up until the last second. Cindy threw on her custom denim bride’s jacket (I’m obsessed with it!) and they were sent off with sparklers!

They rang in the new year as a brand new couple and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my New Year’s Eve! Thank you for having us Mr. and Mrs. Laughlin, it was such a joy to be a part of your special day!
